Cigars & Cigarillos Explained: Comparing Black & Mild, Swisher Sweets, Game & More
Whether you're new to cigars or simply looking for a quick, flavorful smoke, cigarillos remain one of the most popular categories in smoke shops across the country. Brands like Black & Mild, Swisher Sweets, and Game have built loyal followings by offering distinct smoking experiences, a wide variety of flavors, and affordable price points. Today, cigarillos continue to be among the best-selling tobacco products in the United States, making them a staple for adult consumers looking for convenience and variety.
While premium hand-rolled cigars are designed for long, leisurely smoking sessions, cigarillos are machine-made, compact, and ready to enjoy without the need for humidors or special storage. They come in a variety of wrapper styles, flavors, and formats, giving adult smokers plenty of options depending on their preferences.
Black & Mild
Black & Mild has become one of the most recognizable names in the cigarillo category thanks to its use of pipe tobacco rather than the traditional cigar filler found in many competing brands. Many adult smokers appreciate its smooth draw, signature aroma, and iconic wood-tip and plastic-tip options. Popular varieties include Original, Wine, Cream, Jazz, and Casino, each offering a unique flavor profile while maintaining the brand's signature character.
Black & Mild is often a great choice for those looking for a slower, smoother smoking experience with rich tobacco flavor.
Swisher Sweets
Swisher Sweets has been a household name for decades and continues to be one of the industry's best-selling cigarillo brands. Known for its extensive flavor lineup and approachable price point, Swisher offers everything from classic sweet tobacco to fruit-inspired blends. The brand also produces leaf wraps and several specialty lines, making it one of the most diverse names in the category.
If variety is what you're after, Swisher Sweets delivers one of the broadest selections available.
Game
Game has earned its reputation by offering natural leaf cigarillos alongside traditional wraps, creating a slightly different smoking experience for adult consumers who enjoy richer tobacco flavor and slower-burning products. Popular varieties like White Grape, Honey, Green, and Blue have helped make Game one of the most recognizable brands on smoke shop shelves.
Many experienced cigarillo smokers enjoy Game for its natural leaf options and bold flavor combinations.
Which Brand Is Right for You?
Each of these brands offers something different.
If you prefer a smoother pipe tobacco experience with a classic feel, Black & Mild is an excellent choice. If you're interested in exploring dozens of flavor options at an affordable price, Swisher Sweets remains one of the category leaders. For smokers who enjoy natural leaf wraps and fuller tobacco flavor, Game continues to be a customer favorite.
